Healthy Oatmeal & Apples Recipe (No Flour, No Sugar!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (90g) Oatmeal (steel-cut or rolled oats)
  • 150 ml (about ⅔ cup) Warm Milk (you can use dairy or plant-based milk)
  • 2 Apples, peeled and diced
  • 20g (1 ½ tablespoons) Butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon Vanillin (or vanilla extract)
  • 2 large Eggs

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Oats
In a saucepan, bring the warm milk to a simmer. Add the oats and cook according to package directions until soft and creamy (about 5-10 minutes).
  2. Prepare the Apples
While the oats are cooking, peel and dice your apples into small chunks. In a separate pan, sauté the apples with a little bit of melted butter over medium heat until soft and caramelized (about 5-7 minutes). You can sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon here if you like.
  3. Mix the Eggs and Oats
In a bowl, whisk the eggs and add them to the cooked oats, stirring constantly to prevent the eggs from scrambling. This will make the oatmeal nice and creamy.
  4. Combine Everything
Once the oats are cooked and eggs are well mixed in, stir in the melted butter and vanillin (or vanilla extract). Then, gently fold in the sautéed apples.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!
Serve this warm, satisfying meal on its own or with a sprinkle of cinnamon or extra vanilla. It’s rich, filling, and will keep you full for hours!
