Brilliant No-Knead Bread Recipe – Easy, Cheap & Perfect Every Time!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (around 110°F)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast.
    • Add the warm water and stir until the dough comes together. It will be sticky and shaggy, which is perfectly fine!
  2. Let the Dough Rise:

    • Cover the bowl with a damp towel or plastic wrap.
    • Allow the dough to rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours. It should double in size and have lots of bubbles on the surface.
  3. Shape the Dough:

    • Once the dough has risen, sprinkle a clean surface with flour.
    • Turn the dough out onto the floured surface and gently fold it over a few times to shape it into a rough ball. You don’t need to knead it, just gently work it.
  4. Preheat the Oven and Pot:

    • About 30 minutes before the dough is ready, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
    • Place a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot with a lid inside the oven while it heats up. This helps the bread bake with a crispy crust.
  5. Bake the Bread:

    • Once the oven and pot are preheated, carefully remove the pot from the oven. Place the shaped dough inside and cover with the lid.
    • Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and the crust is crispy.
  6. Cool and Serve:

    • Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
