Ingredients:
- 1 cup (90g) Oatmeal (steel-cut or rolled oats)
- 150 ml (about ⅔ cup) Warm Milk (you can use dairy or plant-based milk)
- 2 Apples, peeled and diced
- 20g (1 ½ tablespoons) Butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon Vanillin (or vanilla extract)
- 2 large Eggs
Instructions:
- Cook the Oats
In a saucepan, bring the warm milk to a simmer. Add the oats and cook according to package directions until soft and creamy (about 5-10 minutes). - Prepare the Apples
While the oats are cooking, peel and dice your apples into small chunks. In a separate pan, sauté the apples with a little bit of melted butter over medium heat until soft and caramelized (about 5-7 minutes). You can sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon here if you like. - Mix the Eggs and Oats
In a bowl, whisk the eggs and add them to the cooked oats, stirring constantly to prevent the eggs from scrambling. This will make the oatmeal nice and creamy. - Combine Everything
Once the oats are cooked and eggs are well mixed in, stir in the melted butter and vanillin (or vanilla extract). Then, gently fold in the sautéed apples. - Serve & Enjoy!
Serve this warm, satisfying meal on its own or with a sprinkle of cinnamon or extra vanilla. It’s rich, filling, and will keep you full for hours!
